Coordinated by the Louisiana Department of Health Office of Public Health and Office of Behavioral Health, Louisiana LAUNCH promotes and supports the resilience and healthy development for young children ages birth to eight and their families. The southwest region of Louisiana—15 judicial districts including Lafayette and the surrounding parishes (Acadia and Vermilion)—is Louisiana LAUNCH’s pilot area for improving families’ access to a system of coordinated and effective services.

Project LAUNCH Grantees
Through the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, New Jersey Project LAUNCH (NJPL) promotes a comprehensive, coordinated health system to address the physical, emotional, social, behavioral, and cognitive aspects of child wellness from birth to age eight.
Through the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), Oklahoma Project LAUNCH promotes and enhances the social-emotional health of young children ages zero to eight and their families. Oklahoma Project LAUNCH focuses its local implementation activities in Claremore within Rogers County, a small rural community with significant health disparities and access to care issues.
Project LAUNCH Vermont serves children and families in Chittenden County, the state’s most populous and diverse area. The Burlington area is home to many resettled refugee families, including recent arrivals from all over the globe, such as Burmese, Bhutanese-Nepali, Somali, and Somali Bantu families.
Standing Rock Sioux Tribe Project LAUNCH works to expand and enhance local systems of care by implementing a variety of evidence based, promising practices, culture based and effective practices for early childhood and Native American populations.
Tennessee Project LAUNCH provides primary prevention and promotion services in Memphis, Tennessee with intensive services in three targeted ZIP codes (38106, 38109, and 38126) to promote the health of infants and children from birth to eight years of age.
The Cherokee Nation, the largest tribal nation in the United States, is situated in Northeastern Oklahoma and is home to more than 317,000 people. Unlike many tribes in the country, Cherokee Nation is not located on reservation land.
Through the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Florida Department of Health, Florida Project LAUNCH promotes the wellness of young children ages birth to eight and their families.
Indiana Project LAUNCH promotes the wellness of young children ages birth to eight by improving child- and family-serving agencies and reducing behavioral health disparities among families living in poverty, families who are uninsured, and families of Latino/Hispanic heritage, particularly those who are non-English speaking.
Missouri Project LAUNCH promotes child wellness for children ages birth to eight through a collaborative effort between the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the Department of Health and Senior Services.
