Project LAUNCH Grantees
Through the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health Services, Maternal and Child Health Section, Project LAUNCH New Hampshire (NH) works to support the development of social and emotional wellness of children ages birth to eight and their families, pregnant women, and immigrant and refugee families who are living at or below 185% of the federal poverty level.
The Gun Lake, Nottawaseppi Huron, and Pokagon Bands—all federally recognized Potawatomi tribes located in their ancestral homeland in southwest Michigan and/or north central Indiana— have formed a consortium: the Bodéwadmi LAUNCH Consortium. The Bodéwadmi LAUNCH Consortium promotes the wellbeing of Potawatomi children from birth to eight years of age living in its service area by addressing the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and cultural aspects of their development.
The Pascua Yaqui Tribe Reservation is located in 202.76 acres in southern Arizona, 15 miles southeast of downtown Tucson. The New Pascua Yaqui Reservation near Tucson, AZ, is home to the federally-recognized Pascua Yaqui Tribe, whose enrollment numbers, as of February 2012, is 18,005 members with an additional pueblo of 10,000 individuals from Yaqui heritage in Guadalupe, AZ outside of Phoenix
The Pueblo of Laguna is a federally recognized Native American tribe primarily situated in Cibola County, New Mexico. The population of the tribe exceeds 8,700, including approximately 500 enrolled children ages birth to 8.
Boone County Project LAUNCH serves children from birth to age eight and their families in one urban area (Columbia) and five resource-constrained rural towns (Centralia, Sturgeon, Ashland, Harrisburg, and Hallsville) in Boone County, Missouri.
El Paso Project LAUNCH serves children and families living in the El Paso, Texas, neighborhoods of South Central and Chihuahuita, which are located directly on the United States–Mexico border. El Paso Project LAUNCH promotes sustainable and replicable change within the early childhood wellness system and works to inspire change state-wide by building bridges between service delivery systems and families.
Multnomah Project LAUNCH serves children and families in Multnomah County, Oregon. Multnomah is the state’s most populous and diverse county, encompassing Oregon’s largest city, Portland, and its surrounding suburban and rural areas. Multnomah Project LAUNCH strives to expand and connect community resources to improve the wellness of young children.
Through the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, New York City (NYC) Project LAUNCH works to expand and strengthen programs and services for children and their families city-wide, with a particular focus in two of NYC’s highest need communities: Hunts Point (Bronx) and East Harlem (Manhattan).
Weld Systems Navigation Project is located in Weld County, Colorado, which is one of the fastest-growing counties in the country due in part to a recent increase in refugees who have settled in the area.
