Through the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, New Jersey Project LAUNCH (NJPL) promotes a comprehensive, coordinated health system to address the physical, emotional, social, behavioral, and cognitive aspects of child wellness from birth to age eight. Focusing on urban Essex County, NJPL strives to reduce and ultimately eliminate differences in access, service use, and outcomes for families most vulnerable to systems of discrimination or exclusion and/or health disparities based on their racial or ethnic group, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, age, mental health, cognitive, sensory, or physical disability.
