Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas Project LAUNCH

The Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas (KTK) is located in Brown County, the most northeast corner of Kansas. Kickapoo Project LAUNCH works to build more prevention-focused and comprehensive systems of support for children from birth to 8 years of age and their families. Many of the 1,600 members still live on the KTK tribal lands, while others reside in other parts of Brown County and the surrounding counties. With the many challenges of supporting families with young children in mind, Kickapoo Project LAUNCH was formed as part of an initiative to improve the delivery of early childhood services. It continues to work to enhance the quality of life for all members of the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas while preserving its culture and retaining its right to self-governance.
