National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

Offers a 24 hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline that is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. By dialing 1-800-273-TALK(8255), the call is routed to the nearest crisis center in our national network of more than 150 crisis centers. The Lifeline’s national network of local crisis centers provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals day and night.

Presents fundamental facts on the rationale for using Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) within behavioral health service systems. The report offers examples, strategies, frameworks and tools for selecting, funding, implementing, improving, and sustaining evidence-based and promising practices within systems of care.

Example Suite of EBPs to Address a Range of Mental Health Needs Across Childhood Development

Presents an example of how multiple Evidence Based Practices can be leveraged across several service providers to meet a range of mental health needs for children and youth. While a system of care such as this could potentially meet the needs of the majority of families in a community, the extent to which there is community capacity to implement these programs should be carefully assessed.

A Sustainability Planning Guide for Health Communities

Helps coalitions, public health professionals, and other community stakeholders develop, implement, and evaluate a successful sustainability plan. The Guide provides a process for sustaining policy strategies and related activities, introduces various approaches to sustainability, and demonstrates sustainability planning in action with real-life examples.

Cross-Site Evaluation of Project LAUNCH, 2008–2018

Provides information and reports from the multi-site evaluation of Project LAUNCH, focusing on outcomes for children and families living in Project LAUNCH communities and the impact of the initiative on increasing community wellness. Abt Associates originally managed the evaluation starting in FY 2008, which has been overseen by NORC starting in FY 2013.
