Mandatory for all Cohort 6 LAUNCH Staff

Please join us on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00–3:30 PM EST, for the third in a series of Online Learning Events (OLE): Getting Started OLE #3: Health Disparities Impact Statement (DIS). This event will provide an overview of the Heath Disparities Impact Statement and Strategy. Grantees will learn about the purpose of the Impact Statement, SAMHSA requirements, and policy and data drivers related to the process.

Prior to the OLE, please review a newly released DIS online learning module. This interactive course provides guidance on how to develop and implement a Disparity Impact Statement and Strategy. It will help you develop strategies and processes to reduce disparities in your state, tribe, or territory. This self-paced learning module can be accessed 24/7 through this direct link: http://airhsdlearning.airws.org/DIS/multiscreen.html

Following your review of the module, the Resource Team will hold a live event on November 17th to discuss the Disparities Impact Statement in detail, respond to your questions, and provide an opportunity for you to talk with other LAUNCH grantees. We would like to make this event as interactive as possible, so please come with questions or feel free to submit them beforehand. Perhaps you want to know, “What is the definition of a disparity in the context of the Disparity Impact Statement?” or “What is the difference between a disparity and a disproportionality?” You can send questions or comments prior to the OLE to Marisa Irvine at mirvine@air.org.

Register for the OLE below!

Registrants will receive a follow-up email before the event that will include login information. You can also add an invite to your calendar by clicking on the "Add to Calendar" button above.

If you have any questions regarding the OLE, please contact your GPO. We look forward to your participation!
